Libraries are at the heart of community, culture, education, recreation and innovation. We believe in the power of public libraries to change lives and to help bridge gaps between communities.
Yayasan Perpustakaan Raja Tun Uda (Raja Tun Uda Library Foundation) is the fund raising arm of Raja Tun Uda Library, Shah Alam, a public library that aspires to provide the most comprehensive library collection for all people.
The establishment of the Foundation was instigated by the vision of HRH Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, Sultan of Selangor for a Foundation to be established to enrich and widen the Raja Tun Uda Library’s collections with a particular focus both on special needs visitors and readers and on Selangor’s rich cultural heritage and history and to do this by collecting donations from corporations and individuals for this purpose.
